We are done exploring the leper colony over at Chacachacare, which is west of the north end of Trinidad. I hope you found it as fascinating as I did. Today makes the beginning of my time exploring the capital of Trinidad called Port Of Spain. From the photo I imagine you have guessed there is a zoo in the capital and you would be correct. I love watching giraffes and I have always wondered why they are not considered to be one of the “big 5” animals in Africa, because if I ever get to go on a safari a giraffe is right up there with the elephant and lion as far as what I want to see!
