New trampoline

New on top of the old Replacing the trampoline INSTALLED!!!!Hanging out on the trampoline

The trampoline is the netting on the bow of most catamarans.  It is where everyone heads to lay out and relax, but unlike the name implies it is not for jumping up and down on, it is not a trampoline for kids.  This is because the trampoline is made of webbing or a net.  In my case it is a vinyl coated quarter inch netting.  I think this is one of the more comfortable trampoline materials out there.  Although it does have the added bonus to making you look like a waffle when you get up. The reason I am telling you this is because I just replaced mine.  The old one was ripping and last spring I had it restitched.  Well only two weeks later one of the grommets blew out and could not be repaired.  I knew then that I needed a new one, so I ordered one through Sunrise Yacht Products at www.MultiHullNets.com.  These guys already have the measurements for most production boats and after confirming the diagram they had it made and shipped to me within a month.

Once I got it I laid it over the old one and strung new 8 mm line to attach it.  Running the line and getting rid of the old one was tough, but nothing like what it took to get the four sides even and tight.  I suspect it took me about 5-6 hours to get the new one on and the way I like it, but I think it was totally worth it and I am ready to see how guest enjoy my new trampoline.
