Check out how much fun we had in Campeche, Mexico

By October 27, 2021 No Comments

Campeche was founded in 1540 by Spanish conquistadores atop the existing Maya city of Can Pech on the Gulf of Mexico. Originally, the Spaniards lived inside the walled city, while the natives lived in the surrounding neighborhoods.

What is so cool about Campeche is that it retains much of the old colonial Spanish city including the walls and fortifications, which protected the city from pirates and buccaneers. In fact, the state of preservation and quality of its architecture earned it the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

Besides checking out all the photos you should pop over to YouTube (by clicking the video below) to see the three minute video blog I made about all the fun we had exploring this cool town.

Also, I am putting together a total of five travel videos about Mexico and this video blog will be in the third one called Colonial & Nature. It will have lots of info plus be lots of fun as you watch Lily and I interact around Mexico!!!! The video will post on YouTube so you can Subscribe to my channel and hit the bell icon to be notified as soon as it airs.

In the mean time you can click the link to watch the first week in Mexico called Beaches & Islands, which features from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. Make sure you FOLLOW me on your preferred social media platform ( InstagramTikTokYouTubeFacebook, and Twitter) so you do not miss one bit of our travels through Lily’s country of Mexico.
