How do you beat a visit to a 2500 year old temple?

Athena Temple in Assos

By going at sunset of course.

The funny thing is they officially close the site around 6pm and the sun does not set until past 8pm. Luckily there is a secret way up that gets you past the entrance gate. If you go on the back side of the towers and then up from there you will have the site to yourself.

This is the temple to Athena on the hill overlooking the ancient city of Assos in Turkey. Would you believe that Luke and Paul visited this town over 500 years after the temple was built (Acts 20: 13-14).
