Cooking on the Guiding Light 1

Last week I said big news was coming. Well this is it! For the last four to five years my guest have been asking me to write a cookbook with all the yummy recipes I cook for them and I finally put pen to paper, so to speak, this offseason.

I am very excited about “Cooking on the Guiding Light” because it not only shares many of the recipes I cook while entertaining my guest on charter, but I also included lots of my stories about cruising to entertain you while preparing the meals. In fact, “Cooking on the Guiding Light” contains 17 stories and 67 recipes including cocktails, appetizers, salads, soups, main courses, sides, desserts, and breakfast. I have even included my famous homemade bread and my mom’s amazing chocolate chip cookies.

It is available in both electronic form ($4.99) and paperback ($15.49) Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I hope you enjoy both the meals and the stories and thank you for helping me out. 😊

Below is the teaser found on both sites:

Come with Captain Shane as he takes you on an adventure of sailing and chartering aboard the Guiding Light. During his 10 plus years owning the Guiding Light he has explored the Gulf & East Coast of the United States, The Bahamas, The Virgin Islands, and the rest of the Caribbean.

Along with cruising, Captain Shane has run a very successful charter business in the US & British Virgin Islands. As part of his charter business, he bakes his famous homemade bread and some truly spectacular dinners during each week guests are aboard.

In “Cooking on the Guiding Light”, Captain Shane brings both his cruising and cooking experience together by relaying stories and adventures he has be on with the Guiding Light with many of the delicious recipes he cooks for his guests. Check out some of their comments:
