Swimming with the Neices & Nephew

My nieces and nephew were picked up by another grandparent on Saturday. He also brought the other two with him. It was great seeing both of them; I just wish I could have spent more time with them. I did get to go through a duffle bag of stuff I had collected in the last year (sand dollars, shells, sand dollars, Mardi Gras beads, ect) with all five of them. They returned to my parent’s house on Wednesday.

While they were gone I hung out with Damon and his family or just around the house getting little projects done. Damon and I did see the movie Captain America and we both enjoyed it.

When we got the kids back I took them to Toys R Us so they could each pick something out. They got a movie, 2 games, headphones, speakers, a charger, glass animals, and a lava lamp. We then had dinner at Genghis Grill (at one time I was looking at buying one of these – just extra info) before they went to Vacation Bible School.

The rest of the week was spent working on my parents sprinkler system (not the funniest thing to do), playing Skip-Bo and Monopoly Card Game (the new games), and swimming (friends from my parent’s church had a birthday party for their daughter at my parents pool and the next day my parents threw the annual Summer Bash for the kids).

The kids had to fly home on Sunday evening and I am going to miss them a lot. I had so much fun with them. Every time we got in the pool it was about throwing them around. I have to tell you, I am pooped.
