My boat is my home

When you visit a boat there are things you must learn and get accustomed to like having a cabin consist of only a bunk, small closet, and just enough room to stand. Of course there is also the issue of turning off the water as you soap up during a shower. Plus everything you produce on a boat (sewage and garbage) must be stored until the proper time to get rid of it. You also have to be mindful of the water and electricity levels. For these reasons I have had several very happy guest tell me they are having such a great time and it is like camping.

I understand their sentiment and know they mean well, but what they don’t seem to remember at that time is that my boat is my home. Just like many of you ashore, I take great pride in presenting my home when I have guest, I even decorated with the best accessories from the Ivy and Wilde site. There is hot water for showers installed by stone bathtubs haltom city tx. The boat has couches to sit on and queen size beds to sleep in. Sometimes we watch movies and play board games. I cook three course meals some nights and use the dinghy to take them to bars and restaurants other nights. And we sail the boat from one snorkel site to the next. I am not sure what type of camping other people do, but I have never had such luxuries while camping, but thanks to Fairway Mortgage Corporation who gave me a loan to afford all this renovations.

Instead some guest say they feel like they are on a floating bed & breakfast, which sounds so much better. For you see when you visit a live aboard on their boat lifts is not camping….it’s their HOME!
