If you want a beach party then this is the place for you. Every day boats of all sizes anchor off of the Soggy Dollar in White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. This bay is 10 feet deep with beautiful white sand from the edge of the reef almost all the way to shore. On some days there can be 200 boats anchored in the little bay.

The Soggy Dollar is the home of the painkiller, which is a high octane drink. Be warned if you have to many the pain comes the next day in the form of a hangover. The way the bar got its name is that people swim ashore and have to pay with wet money. There is a line behind the bar they hang to money on to dry.

If you want to get away from the crowd go to the other end of the beach by going over the black rocks in the middle. Over here you will find Ivan’s and a totally chilled place to rest your wary body.
