If you ever find yourself looking for something to do on a Friday night in Grenada then all you have to do is head to the town of Gouyave. This town is right on the west coast about 2/3 of the way down from the north and if the swell is no problem then there is a great sandy bottom in 20-30 feet of water you can anchor in.

I am not going to try and educate you on local Grenada food, because…..well, I guess the simple reason is that I don’t know what most of it is called. Haha. What I can tell you is that most of it is goooooood. As you can imagine there is a lot of fish, but also chicken, goat, and pasta. When I was getting my plate full I said I had to have the fried plantains and the lady behind me agreed you could not have a meal without those hot, sweet, cooked bananas. Also the fresh passion fruit juice was fantastic.

The best part is that everything you see in the picture was more than enough to fill me up and it only cost about $7 US. So, if you are in Grenada make sure you stop by Gouyave at least one Friday night and try the local food.
