Today is the last blog from Mongolia, so I wanted to share a photo of the monastery in Karakorum as my “photo of the day”. If you go back to Sunday’s blog you can read about this holy site and how Karakorum was the capital of Genghis Khan’s empire.

But right now I want to have you focus on the colors, design, and details of this building. It is just one of dozens in the monastery complex.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my dad’s and I’s adventures in this somewhat mysterious land and you join us tomorrow as we reboard the Trans-Siberian train to see Lake Baikal in Russia. You can LIKE me on Facebook or FOLLOW me on Instagram to keep up with our farther adventures.
