Easter eggs in St Barts

Church at St BartsOur first major stop in our voyage around the upper Caribbean was St Barts and I thought it was a cute, little town. As far as I know there are 2 churches in town and as we happened to be there just before Easter day, we decided to go to the Anglican service on Sunday morning. As I have never been to Easter Service I didn’t know that to expect and I was very excited! We dressed up nicely and Shane was in his fancy trousers and shirt as we headed to the church.

Interior of church on St BartsFirst of all, the church was a very cute building with red windows! The service was very good with the music, sermon, and prayers. Sharing this moment with Shane was very special. When the service finished, we went out in the beautiful garden and I saw plastic eggs laying here and there! As it was my first Easter Shane had to explain the tradition to me, but once he did I got an egg and there were sweets in it, yeayyyy!

Also, there was a wonderful champagne buffet in the garden and we enjoyed having drinks and watching kids search for more eggs. It was a really special moment for me being in such a lovely Island and worshipping God with Shane and the locals.
