Watch out at the Bubbly Pool at Jost Van Dyke

Bubbly Pool

The Bubbly Pool on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands is a great place to check out in the winter month when the north swell is running. The waves crash through a canyon in the cliff on the north side of the island and squirts through into a small pool of water. It is a blast as the water pours out of the mouth and you just try and hold on until it stops.

The problem now is that Hurricane Irma washed some of the large rock into the middle of the pool and if you are not careful when the water come screaming in it can push you back and make you hit the underwater rocks. Also the little sandy beach is missing all of the sand now.

Nature will put sand back onto the beach and I am sure people will start moving the rocks out of the way, but for the time being becareful. You can still have a lot of fun in the Bubbly Pool, but just watch out for those rocks!
