The medieval tanning pits in the heart of the medina of Fez is the location for today’s photo of the day. Everyday the workers of this co-op use these pits to prepare and dye hides of different animals. They use the exact same proccess that was used here way back in the 15th century when it was founded.
Melek wrote about Fez yesterday and I am going to write more tomorrow, but I really wanted to share this photo today.
