In Marrakech the El Badi Palace was one of my favorites

Morocco - Marrakech - El Badi Palace

Outside of wandering through the twisting passages of the medina,El Badi Palace was my favorite site. The palace was built by Sultan Ahmed al Mansour to celebrate the victory over the Portuguese army in 1578. It is now in ruins, but you can see how spectacular it once was. There is even some cool underground passages that were used so the servents could conduct the palace’s duties without being seen. This is why I choose the photo to be a photo of the day.

I would love to have you follow me on Instagram. This way you can keep up with each and every photo of the day. Plus, it helps me build up my community. 🙂
