Leaving the boat yard

By October 24, 2010 No Comments

This week I finished up my annual haul out and I think it was successful (although expensive).  I had the bottom scraped and painted, the sail drives serviced, replaced three through hulls, the hulls waxed, the trampoline restitched, a new zipper on the sail bag, new glass in the dodger, the bimini repaired, an oil change, new bridle, and my main halyard and reefing lines were adjusted.

Lennie got a ride down on Friday morning and watched the boat go back into the water.  We left at noon and started sailing south and were able to sail the whole time.  We anchored in the Great Wicomico River and it turns out Steve from Southern Cross was across the entrance.  We did 25-30 miles on Saturday and again today to get to Hampton, VA around 2PM.  Along the way we have put the sail cover, dodger, and bimini back on the boat.  Steve met up with us and rafted his boat to mine for the night
